The school Library is an important place for promoting the love of books and the enjoyment of reading. A place where it is possible to venture into new worlds, to be captivated by the beauty of language and to find new ways of thinking by trying new authors. Fictional books are colour banded so that pupils are encouraged to progress with their reading so that they become accomplished, independent readers. A wide selection of non-fictional books are also available for individuals or classes to use as a colourful resource of literature that adds to their themes in history and geography, science and art.
The school Librarians are pupils who help the Librarian to keep this wonderful resource organised, tidy, well-stocked with interesting books and who can recommend books and periodicals to add to the collection, from their reading of new titles.
