‘I have come that they may have life,
and have it to the full.' John 10:10

Enabling children to flourish and succeed

Church of England

We are very proud to be a Church of England Primary School and uphold the Church of England's vision for education:

Educating for wisdom, knowledge and skills: enabling discipline, confidence and delight in seeking wisdom and knowledge, and developing talents in all areas of life.

Educating for hope and aspiration: enabling healing, repair and renewal, coping wisely when things go wrong, opening horizons and guiding people into ways of fulfilling them.

Educating for community and living well together: a core focus on relationships, participation in communities and the qualities of character that enable people to flourish together.

Educating for dignity and respect: the basic principle of respect for the value and preciousness of each person, treating each person as a unique individual of inherent worth.

As a Church of England School we have close links with the Leicester Diocesan Board of Education. More information can be found here: https://www.leicester-dbe.com/

Links with Tugby St Thomas a Becket Church

As a Church of England school, we value our links with our local parish church of St Thomas a Becket, Tugby.

Members of the church regularly lead worship, as well as supporting the school across the curriculum. Our church wardens teach our children to ring the church bells and come into the classes to speak to the children about church events.  We partner with the church in acts of service to our community, especially at harvest, when we collect produce for a local foodbank, and at Christmas when our Key Stage 1 children perform their annual nativity.
