Welcome to our Governors’ section. 

Please find below details of how our Governing body is structured, including the names, categories, responsibilities and terms of appointment for each Governor.

 

The role of the Governing Body: Leadership and Management

 

The Local Governing Committee (LGC) has a wide range of strategic responsibilities covering all aspects of school life. All governors work tirelessly for the school to ensure that all pupils are given an excellent education and are equipped with the skills to flourish & succeed in an increasingly complex world. Governors work in close partnership with parents, our Trust and other Rise schools as well as Mr Bardsley and Mr Skye, who are responsible for the operational management of the school on a daily basis. 

 

All Governors expect to adhere to the Rise Terms of Reference.

For the current academic year, our LGC is made up of the following governors:

 

  • Alyson Rees (Chair) - Co-opted Governor until 20.03.2025 - Safeguarding / Online Safety
  • Dr Philip Baughan - Foundation Governor until 11.06.2024
  • Julie Dawson (Vice Chair) - Co-opted Governor until 14.12.2027 - SEND & EYFS
  •  
  • Peter Davis - Parent Governor until 04.10.2027
