Church of England

We are very proud to be a Church of England Primary School and uphold the Church of England's vision for education:

Educating for wisdom, knowledge and skills: enabling discipline, confidence and delight in seeking wisdom and knowledge, and developing talents in all areas of life.

Educating for hope and aspiration: enabling healing, repair and renewal, coping wisely when things go wrong, opening horizons and guiding people into ways of fulfilling them.

Educating for community and living well together: a core focus on relationships, participation in communities and the qualities of character that enable people to flourish together.

Educating for dignity and respect: the basic principle of respect for the value and preciousness of each person, treating each person as a unique individual of inherent worth.

Mission Statement

“I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full” John 10:10.

In our school we want to follow the example Jesus. Through following His example, as Christians we are able to life our lives to the full.

We put our faith into action by helping others in our community.

Our Christian Values

Our values are central to our identity as a school, they are:

Love: This is God’s most important gift. We need to show love to our neighbours the way that Jesus intended.

Respect: Treat others how you’d like to be treated yourself. Respect ourselves, each other, the school and the world we live in.

Truth: Never lie, always be honest even if it’s sometimes tough.

Hope: Never give up, if we trust in God, good things will come.

Trust: We are honest, so we can be trusted to do good things in our school and community.

Forgiveness: We forgive those who do bad against us.

Our RE Curriculum

We follow Leicestershire’s Locally agreed syllabus for learning. We have adapted it to suit the demands of our school and are using it to sequence children’s learning to create the best educational experience possible.

Collective Worship

At Tugby we believe with engaging with our local community as much as possible in sharing our Christian identity and values. We are delighted to supported in our Christian development by several local teams who visit the school regularly, ensuring we have a strong variety of collective worship at the school.
