Our Ofsted report has just been published.  Under new tougher inspection framework grades, Tugby School has achieved GOOD in all areas: achievement of pupils, quality of teaching, behaviour and safety, leadership and management and overall effectiveness.

The inspector said that parents and carers appreciate the way all staff know their children so well and make them feel exceptionally safe and valued.  One comment, typical of many, ended 'Tugby is a great example of how schools should be'.

We are pleased that the report has recognised how wonderful Tugby is and a copy of the full report is available by clicking on the link below.

Welcome to Tugby School

Deep within the rolling hills of the beautiful Leicestershire countryside, nestles the picturesque village of Tugby and our delightful village school. Although the catchment area for Tugby C of E Primary School is large, we are renowned for being a caring, family school, where every child is able to play and learn in a safe and happy environment. Being an integral part of the local rural community allows our school children to learn the neighbourly values that bring people together and provides a framework of social responsibility, which equips them for later life. We are also privileged to be fully included in the life of the ancient Saint Thomas Becket church (we wear its crest proudly on our school uniform) that celebrates the Christian faith throughout the year with the wider congregation.

If you would like to know more about our joyful school, then please do not hesitate to contact the school office and make an appointment, as we would be delighted to see you.

Head teacher: Mr. P. Wiggin. B.Sc.(Hons), M.Sc. NPQH
