The Year 6 Prefects showed great reverence whilst helping to lead the Eucharist Service at school with Reverend Curtis and Reverend Alison.

Choir Trip to Young Voices at the Birmingham NEC

The choir had a fantastic day at the Young Voices concert at the Gentings Arena, Birmingham. We were part of a choir of 6,500 children! We enjoyed singing the songs we have been learning, screaming very loudly, hearing incredible beatboxers and a rock guitarist. It was a unique experience and so good that family and friends were able to be part of the audience.

We had a wonderful surprise visit from Leicester City Football Club player, Riyad Mahrez, who brought the Premier League Trophy from Leicester to show to the children. It was a day to remember!

The school celebrated its 175th birthday on the 4th November 2016. Bishop Martyn was guest of honour at a special thanksgiving service in Tugby Church to mark the event and gave a talk about the acorn, carved into his shepherd's crook, which reminds us of the Bible parable of the seed. The Year 6 Prefects helped in leading the service and Alfie D presented a special edition Tugby Bear 175 to the Bishop as a thank you for his address. Each class dressed up in period costume and put on a performance about a particular historical theme they were studying in school. A beautifully decorated birthday cake was made for the occasion by Dr Treadwell and this was officially cut by the CEO of DLAT, Mr Morris.

Year 4, 5 & 6 House Beach Volleyball Competition

The inter house beach volleyball competition took place at the Village Hall and it was great fun.
The years 4, 5 and 6 have worked really hard to put on a fabulous performance of Cinderella Rockerfella. It was enjoyed by many on Tuesday evening and again on Wednesday afternoon. A huge thank you to all who were involved. A special thanks to Mrs Bacchus for the fantastic costumes she loaned to us.

In costume for the performance!
